ISAIAH 41:10 “DON’T BE AFRAID, FOR I AM WITH YOU. DON’T BE DISCOURAGED, FOR I AM YOUR GOD. I WILL STRENGTHEN YOU AND HELP YOU. I WILL HOLD YOU UP WITH MY VICTORIOUS RIGHT HAND.”
When I am afraid, it is because I have forgotten whose I am. The Creator of the universe, the one who understands everything – both the seen and the unseen, holds my life. There is not one place I can hide where he cannot find me. I have never been on my own, but continually pursued by the one who loves me. The intentional God is working on my behalf. There is not a single situation I find myself in where he is not.
Not only that, but he holds the lives of all who I love. I can trust him with them because he loves them more. It doesn’t all depend on me, but it all depends on the faithful God. He hasn’t promised I will never go through difficult times, but he has promised he will be with me.
With him, I have all the wisdom, peace and strength I could ever need. I do not need to fear the future because I can rest assure that he will always be near. When I am discouraged, I need to go to him for courage. With him, I will have all the courage I will ever need.
He has promised his strength and his help for all of my life, every single day. Always. His right hand signifies authority, blessing and strength. He says he will hold me with his victorious right hand. It is safe there. When I am anxious, I will fix my eyes on him. Every day I must choose if I will lean into the faithful God and remember his promise, or if I will give in to fear. I choose faith in the One who has called me by name.
Father, I choose to trust you with my life and all that is in it. I know that you love me and you are with me. I can trust you completely. Help me see your heart for me and to learn to trust you more. I don’t have to fear because you are here. You are gentle with me and I can know that my life is safe in you.
