A Prayer for the Weary

Father, Here we are.

You see us, You know us and You are aware of our inner worlds.

You know the weights we carry - the personal, the communal and the world.

The beautiful, the too heavy, the too big, the too confusing, the too sad. You see it all.

You see the grief, the anger and the confusion that surrounds us currently.

You are here.

You see the threads of beauty, hope and love you are actively and unhurriedly weaving under the surface that we cannot see.

Give us eyes to see Your movements in and around us.

Create in us Your goodness so we can be tangible expressions of your truth, grace and love.

You are here with us. You hold our hurting world in Your hands. You hold our hurting hearts safely near Yours.

Today, we come as we are, offering ourselves, our time, our presence. We come with open hands and hearts offering to You our whole selves. Thank you for holding us securely in Your strong and capable arms. We trust You with us. We trust You with our communities. We trust You with our world. We are yours.
